This hyper-mixed and dense media collage program abstractly explores crime in the U.S. as seen thrrough the lens of Television News. An intense audio journey looking at where we have been, where we are going, crime as entertainment and distraction, the psychological effects of violence in media. Based on a radio show originally mixed in the mid-nineties, live on KPFA, by Phineas Narco and Don Joyce (of Negativland). The show has been re-cut, remixed and remastered for 2009.

This program is intense in tone, and is potentially disturbing in parts, and is probably played best in safe-harbor. Part 2 of 2 will be posted separately. While I have done my best to expunge all obscenities, be advised there are some N-words in here in some rap music samples during the latter half of this part of the episode (Part 1). Please contact me if you have interest in broadcasting this and/or Part 2 of this program.
