Krysta Williams is the Advocacy and Outreach Coordinator for the Native Youth Sexual Health Network. Krysta is of the Delaware Nation from Moravian of the Thames First Nation. She is a traditional singer and hand drummer, connecting these teachings to reproductive justice and Indigenous Feminisms. She currently volunteers with the Canadians for Choice Information and Referral line, a free 24/7 link to sexual and reproductive health services across Canada. Krysta recieved an undergraduate degree from the University of Waterloo but is more interested in community and land based forms of education and learning.
Stephanie Massey has worked in harm reduction for over ten years. Since late 2011, she has worked with PASAN offering support to incarcerated people and ex-incarcerated people around issues of health care especially HIV, hepatitis C, and other harm reduction issues. Ideally, our work goes beyond education to an empowerment model that supports people to manage their own health, advocate for themselves and each other when navigating the healthcare and prison systems, and take on activism that they identify as needed to keep their communities healthy.
Tina Reynolds is the co-Founder and Chair of Women on the Rise Telling HerStory (WORTH). Women on the Rise Telling Her Story. WORTH is an association of formerly and currently incarcerated women who have been empowered by their own experiences while involved in the criminal justice system and beyond. Through mutual support, leadership development, organizing and telling our stories, WORTH transforms the lives of women who have been directly impacted by incarceration and changes public perception and policy. Reynolds has received a Master in Social Work from Hunter College. She is currently an adjunct professor at York, CUNY in the Behavioral Sciences Department teaching the âImpact of Incarceration on Families, Communities and Childrenâ. She has published pieces on the abolition of prisons, the impact of incarceration on women and children, formerly incarcerated women and policy change and is an editor of an anthology âInterrupted Life: Experiences of Incarcerated Women in the United Statesâ.
