Kelly Pflug-Back is a published poet and author as well as a well-known activist for her work in anti-poverty and harm reduction organizing. Kelly recently spent seven months in prison at the Vanier Correctional Centre for Women for her alleged participation in the riots during the G20 protests in Toronto in 2010. She will be launching her poetry book “These Burning Streets” in April in Montreal. Kelly joins us on the phone from Toronto.

Kelly Pflug-Back (pronounced floog-back) is the author of These Burning Streets. These Burning Streets will launch on Friday, April 5th at 1407 Valois in Hochelaga, Montreal. A second Montreal book launch will take place on Saturday, April 6th at La Belle Epoque at 1984 Wellington in Pointe Ste-Charles. Both events start at 7pm and are co-presented by the Women's Coordinating Committee for a free Wallmapu.
