This week we wander into BLUE RUIN, the Award winning American revenge story from writer/director Jeremy Saulnier. The film brings to us the harrowing story of Dwight (Macon Blair), a homeless drifter who’s dropped out of society after the wake of a brutal crime that has left him emotionally incapacitated. But when he learns the man responsible for his tragic past is about to be released from prison, Dwight returns to his childhood home to carry out an act of vengeance. Proving himself an amateur assassin, he winds up in a brutal fight to protect his estranged family

Blue Ruin received mainly positive reviews from critics. Most describing it as “Smart, stripped-down, and thrillingly grim. The film also received a bit of accolade for its well shot cinematography and impactful performance from Macon Blair… Along with our breakdown, we also offer up our “Top 3 Drifters in Movies”
